For the ORF, Public Value means producing media contents that are useful, accessible, and comprehensible for each and every citizen.
That’s the difference between the ORF and commercial competitors. It views its public not as consumers but as a multifaceted and demanding audience, who obtain the essentials for their own worldview from the media. The ORF is highly aware of this great responsibility—55 voices from different departments of the ORF state their opinions.
Conceived in a close collaboration with the ORF Public Value Competence Center, the report collects reflections and perspectives from external and internal stakeholders—from viewers and fee payers to the staff and politicians.
