The End Is Where We Start From

With an immersive, multi-sensory approach, Anne Duk Hee Jordan opens up new perspectives on complex biological relationships. Her art only unfolds its full effect when experienced with all the senses, giving her works an extraordinary depth.

At first glance, a book that aims to do justice to this sensual art seems doomed to failure - but this is precisely where its appeal lies. The book cover itself becomes a ‘rabbit hole’ à la Alice in Wonderland, drawing the reader into a colourful vortex. This visual intoxication not only documents the multimedia installations, but also illuminates Anne Duk Hee Jordan's unique way of working from different angles. The work is complemented by texts from literature, philosophy, cultural theory and the natural sciences that place her art in a broader context.

This first German and English monograph on Anne Duk Hee Jordan's work was published on the occasion of her exhibition at the Kunst Haus Wien designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
