With the “Pie Bible”, M+M turns a fictitious book from the US movie “American Pie” into reality: a continuously growing collection of experiences, tips, and impressions about love and sexuality. In the movie the book circulates at a high school. Year for year, it is passed on to a chosen “worthy” student, who adds his or her own contribution to it.

M+M asked selected artists to reveal personal experiences, ingenious techniques, and fantasies that lead to secret realms in the world of sensual lust and erotic abysses. The contributions published in their “Pie Bible” range from texts and collages to drawings and photos with handwritten commentaries. This erotic compendium is printed in an almost facsimile style, so that the individual traces—such as pentimenti, possible smudges, and the paper character—remain tangible.
