Wiener Festwochen 2020

»Recalling the past, addressing the now, exploring ways of realising the future.« - Christophe Slagmuylder, Artistic Director

2020 is a memorable year for the Wiener Festwochen. A cultural icon present since the 1950s reflects on its history by leaving it behind and daring a new beginning, not only programmatically but also visually. It is about artistic positions and contents. They need to be communicated, and the Wiener Festwochen offers them a stage. Nothing more and nothing less.
